The Amazing Twin  Cave in Halimutok Jolowon

          Every country has it’s own secret beauty, either it is a manmade or from the work of nature. It maybe well known tourist spot, or not but still amazing. In the Philippines there are a lot of tourist spot that makes it beautiful. As they say “It’s more fun in the Philippines!” Because of its tourist spot that is the no. 1 contributor of its  beauty that’s why many tourist tends to come here in Philippines. Some of these are, the Mt. Apo in Mindanao, the Chocolate Hills in Bohol Visayas , while here in Luzon is the well known Banaue Rice Terraces  which according to UNESCO it became the 8th Wonder of the Philippines in 1995  here in Ifugao.

 Ifugao is also well known of its rich and preserved culture which tend many tourist from different countries to visit and see its beauty. Besides, there are also well known tourist spot here in Ifugao not only the terraces in Banaue which the people in Ifugao are proud of, but also many more in every municipality. These are some,the Hot Spring in Hungduan, Mt. Atugu in Hingyon, Magat Dam in Alfonso Lista, Ambuwaya Lake in Kiangan, Matangili Rock Formation in Regimental Magulon and many more.

           Recently, the municipality of Lamut is one of the municipality in Ifugao that has a total 9  tourist spot which is being explored according to tourism lamut office.

    However one of the interesting hike that I experience here in Lamut is the hike going to Halimutok cave or what most called it the Twin cave in Halimutok Jolowon. According to the tour guide it is so called the Twin cave because the caves were place in one mountain, where in there is an opening to the other side and at the back of it is also an opening of the cave. At first we really feel the struggle of the road going there, but then as we go on to our hike we were very happy enjoy the fresh air and coolness of the mountain which we did not really feel the tiredness of the hike.

            We were able to notice a tiger open mouth like as we reach already the opening of the cave which is the other side. Before going inside we make sure to hold a full charged flashlight for us to see the hidden beauty of the cave inside. You can also find a nice angle of area to take some memorable photo shots. In addition this Twin Cave has a two floor which literally we have to go up and down by the use of the ladder.  When we went inside from the opening we can still hear the noise from outside the cave such us birds sounds etc. But then we can still saw some bats flying inside.

           When we went down the cave we were amazed by its dark but shimmering beauty of the cave with different formations with crystal like of the stone.On the otherhand by the other side  of the mountain is another opening of the cave but then I am still  hoping to go there again and have the journey again going inside that  cave to enjoy and explore the amazing dark shimmering Twin Cave in Halimutok Jolowon.
